Wedding #2

Hi, just popping in for a quick post tonight.  I have been busy making several wedding cards for orders, and this is one of them.

I made this a couple of weeks ago, just after I bought a couple of Sue Wilson die sets,  I also made 2 more this weekend.  Using dies makes this a very quick card.

I started out by cutting the black dp 5.25 x 5.25 then laid the decorative die along the bottom edge to cut.  The 3 top layers were all cut from one die set - Sue Wilson - Greek Island collection - Santorini.
The sentiment layer and the 3rd layer was cut using decorative paper and the middle layer is cut from cream card stock.

I finished off with some silk ribbon, pearls and a prima 'say it in crystal' embellishment.

Supplies:
Stamp - Justrite - ever after antique labels one
Paper - cream, Prima - Almanac
ink - black versafine
dies - Sue Wilson - Gemini Dies - Phoenix, Greek Island Collection - Santorini
misc - pearls, silk ribbon, dimensionals, prima - say it in crystal

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.

Asters abuzz

Well here we are, a start to another week.  I've been dying to use my new digi images from Power Poppy.  I had a bit of free time on Sunday, so this is what I came up with.

I'm using Power Poppy's digital image called Asters Abuzz.  There is also a challenge going on over at Power Poppy this month called "hang some paper", so basically use 3 different patters or colours of designer papers on your card.  I am entering this card into their challenge this month.

After resizing and printing the image I used copics to colour.  I then cut it out using a spellbinders circle die, left the die in place then sponged some SU Soft sky around the edges.  I then used my gold kyrlon pen and send around the edge.

Designer paper is from Authentique - summer collection.  I also distress the edges of the paper as well as sponge some walnut stain around the edges.

To finish off I added some ribbon, glitter  and sequins.

Supplies:
stamp - Power Poppy digital - Asters abuzz
ink- copics -BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07, G24, YG17, YG67, BV11, B63, YG01, YR31, Y13, Y18, Y19, Y23, Y38, YR24, E08, E79
dies - spellbinders circle & square dies
paper - cougar white 100 lb, SU Crushed Curry, Authentique - summer
misc - sequins, ribbon & glitter

Thanks for the visit, see you soon,

Hey Chicky

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well.  Can you believe that we are into the middle of July already?  Summer is half over already, and we have not really had much in the line of hot summer temps.  This weekend we are in for a hot and sweltering weekend up into the low to mid 30's C,  but other than that I would say it's been a much cooler summer, lots of rain and cooler temps.  I don't mind the cooler days, but just a little heat would be good, none of the hot and humid days.

The card I'm sharing with you, I made for a co-worker's birthday today.  She is a young gal mid 20's, who a few months ago decided to raise some chickens (layers).  She just loves her little chickens and always has some funny stories about them.

I remembered I had a chicken stamp somewhere in my collection, but do you think I could find it?  I also have and folder of images that I have stamped off previously, so went looking through that and found a couple of this cute chicken just ready and waiting to be coloured up! Isn't she just  the cutest chick around?

I coloured the image using prismacolour pencils and blended with gamsol.   Used a spellbinder die to cut it out and layer it onto some new papers from Penny Black.  Kept the card simple with just a bit of glitter and some seam binding ribbon.

Supplies:
stamp: unknown - (It might be Inky antics)
ink: black memento, prismacolour pencils - lime peel, grass green, kelly green, green ochre, light aqua, peacock, jade green, parrot green, process red, black cherry, magenta, lavender, sand, goldenrod, yellow ochre, mineral orange, pumpkin orange, carmine red, blue slate, cloud blue, orange, light umber
die: spellbinders - floral ovals
paper - Penny black - painted blooms, white
misc - seam binding ribbon, glitter, bow maker

BTW -Melissa loved her card!

Thanks for the visit, enjoy your day.

Two hearts

Hi everyone, hope you had a good week.  It's early Saturday morning, so thought best I get my post done so I can work out in my gardens today.  We have had a lot of rain and cooler weather the past couple of weeks, which means the weeds keep growing! but the gardens of so lush in growth and colour.

As I mentioned in my last post I have a few wedding cards to share.  Here is another one:

As you can see there is not a lot involved in this one.  I used spellbinders regal frame for the frame part and then used the inner piece from spellbinders A2 tranquil moments die set for the focal piece and stamped my sentiment on.  Sentiment is from the set called Love and Marriage from PTI. I used dimensionals to pop up the sentiment piece.

Designer paper is by Fancy Pants called french press.  Ribbon is beautiful deep aqua from Sharon's store -
Stamp Simply.  To finish off I added pearls and a couple of prima flowers.  I had a hard time parting with this one, but now it's sold, so just might need to make another one to have on hand.

The picture about of the ruby-throated hummingbird was taken in our backyard among the bee-balms.

I appreciate you stopping by, enjoy your day.

Love....

It's summer which means wedding season.  I have been busy with a lot of requests for wedding cards lately.  So you know what I will be sharing in the next few posts.... wedding cards.

The one I'm sharing today is using a stamp from Our Daily Bread called "1 Corinthians".

It's a fairly simple card but elegant.  I took this picture outside under the gazebo, I hope it's not too dark.

I started by embossing the sentiment stamped using versamark on cream card stock and embossed with gold embossing powder.  This was then cut out using spellbinders labels eight die.

For the next layer I used spellbinders decorative labels eight with some cream pearl cardstock. This was then layered onto a piece of Memory Box designer paper.  I love the softness of the green, it goes so well with the cream colours.

To dress it up a bit I added some prima flowers in the bottom corner, two tiny bows layered on top of one another crosswise, added a prima glitter dot to the center, as well as some tiny pearls around the decorative edge of the cream pearl card stock.

I hope you are enjoying your day.  Thanks for stopping by. See you again real soon...
